Dr. Nygaard and Dr. Poovey are the directors of Meridian Dental Study Group. Meridian Dental Study Group is an affiliate of the Seattle Study Club, an international network of dental study clubs. Meridian Dental Study Group is a group of dentists in and around Spokane who meet throughout the year for continuing education meetings, learning from masters of dentistry, and from and with each other. Continuing education helps Drs. Nygaard & Poovey and their team provide the best care possible for their patients.

Dr. Nygaard is also the co-director and co-founder of the Inland Northwest Dental Hygiene Study Club. The Inland Northwest Dental Hygiene Study Club provides over 100 dental hygienists with continuing education on current topics in dentistry each year.
